RES³T (Rossendorf Expert System for Surface and Sorption Thermodynamics) is a scientific database developed by the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) that provides mineral-specific sorption and surface-complexation data. It contains information on mineral properties, surface binding sites, sorption ligands, protolysis constants, and surface complexation reactions, together with references to the original scientific literature. The database is designed to support geochemical and reactive-transport modelling, particularly for understanding the transport of contaminants through soils, rocks, and the environment.
